... because I've not done anything about any of them for ages. Still have barely started April's Mystery Blanket squares, let alone finished them. The Golden Wedding Blanket is so close to being finished and the African Adventure is merely a very small bow tie.
But ask me about the May Sock why don't you? It's a fantastic pattern! And if you haven't cast yours on yet, I urge you to go do it right away.
I have changed the heel - the pattern said do a short row garter stitch heel - didn't think that would last, so I'm using the heel from the Poppy Socks (same designer) and it seems to be coming out quite pretty.
Do tell - anyone else started yet?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ..... aaak, cough, splutter. I thought you asked me if I had started the May sock. Hahahahahaha, seriously I should get my ears checked while I am here.
I cast on 70 stitches ... does that count?
wow! I see what you mean about the socks - they're wonderful - I wish I liked working on the round as I'd be tempted to join in!
U.S. rules prohibit players from casting on before the 1st day of the month to which the sock has been assigned.
Yes I've started - four times!!!! I can't believe I was the fool who found this pattern on Ravelry and suggested we knit it!
On my fourth attempt I am now almost ready to do the first bobbly row. I say 'almost' because it actually is the next row but I've decided I can't quite face it tonight and need a glass of wine and a bit of internet instead!
Your sock is (sickeningly) gorgeous - I love how that beautiful yarn is knitting up and the heel looks lovely. Not sure I'll have what it takes to do anything but the heel suggested in the pattern.
I think the main thing I love about knitting is that it's so very relaxing......grrrr!
xx
that looks sooo pretty!

I'm with Elizabeth D. UK rules are the same. Locket x
...I'll just finish the pair that's on my needles right now...and then I need to choose the yarn...;-)
I have moved that pattern up in my Ravelry queue now, thanks for reminding me, and I love your choice of colours too!
