Saturday Pudding.

So I asked the family today 'What do you want for Saturday Pudding?'

'Dunno', came back the reply.

I needed inspiration as ever and dug out the recipe books.

As soon as I saw the picture accompanying this recipe, I knew I had found today's pudding.

A few progress shots to show you that I really and truly did make these from scratch. Can you guess what it is yet? To coin a phrase.

Bet you've got it now haven't you?

Profiteroles with chocolate sauce. Enough said. Very blinking good and the family were all in agreement for once!

Glad that so many of you are joining the Startitis Sock Club. More news on that tomorrow. And believe me, you will be impressed by the progress made on the first sock!

*le sigh* I wish my troops ate creamy puds :-(

Word verif.is 'splatea' Is this what the Stashbasket family will be doing with those profiteroles for Comic Relief?

I love making profiteroles - and I guessed what it was going to be at the beginning - honest I did!

Dot is reading over my shoulder and now she wants to know how to make them now. Seeing as she is the best cook in the house now I reckon I should tell her don't you - Sunday pudding sorted!!!

P.S. finished third sock but had made mistakes in the toe shaping. was going to leave it as it was but then pride took over and I have unpicked it ready to re-knit the last bit (but not before I'd cast on sock number 4!)

When Fred heard about you wondering why I needed three socks he said it was because I needed 2 for my feet and one so I could "put a sock in it!" Now where has he heard that??????

P.P.S. Dot is now complaining that i have left far too long a "P.S" so sorry about that! Trash should have commented here because the word verif is now "ticia" - just need an "r".

I reckon it would be simpler to make the profiteroles than a sock :-p

Thanks for the links ... I have saved them and will try to get brave.

But if you leave a comment now then the word verification is "demener" - is that the opposite of misdemeanour? Does that mean leaving you loads of comments is actually a really good thing? Should I just shut up now and go away? Am I the only one being amused here? Hmmmmm, I thought so too! Byeeee

Ooh - if only I'd known I'd have popped round for pud and abandoned Moogsdad in a pile of rubble!

Feeling ashamed now...no sock knitting happened in this house today. I did do three big baskets of ironing though.

Too tired to risk the socks now!

Had a family get together to say farewell to our youngest and his wife off to Hong Kong for six months. We had fish and chips (and some fishcakes, sausages etc) and I stood and cooked 23 pancakes. I only just managed to get one for myself! Have started some crochet Mary Jane slippers.....
