Two for the price of one!

Here is my Saturday Pudding. Fat free rice pudding, flavoured with orange, lemon, apples and nectarines and fat free yoghurt. Too much lemon. Way too much lemon. Sour. Horrid. So revolting, I can almost see the pounds disappearing - after all, something this vile must surely be good for weight loss?

But it didn't really help that the rest of my dear family were tucking into this. Profiteroles, filled with white chocolate creme patissiere and smothered in warm chocolate sauce.

There were some leftover, so rather than keeping them in the fridge to torture me even more, I went round the neighbours offering them out!

As I have said before, losing weight is not easy for someone with such a sweet tooth as me. Especially when I keep being so stoopid as to make puddings like this.

Well, the children have just had warmed chocolate brownies (not home-made) with extra thick double cream. Hmmmm, think I might have to have a little taste later too!!!

I don't have your willpower you see. At least, not at the moment :o(

That rice pudding looks pretty darn good from here!!!
I gained back a pound and a half last week, and just dined on a bowl of oatmeal. Grrrr.
It's the sweets that take me down, every time. I start off with one with a cup of tea for a break, then the next day it's one at breakfast and one for a tea break, and then the next time I go shopping, I buy a box of whatever it is and the brakes are off the cart. Good for you, sharing those lovely treats with neighbors rather than battling with them in the kitchen!

Why do my neighbours only offer random hammering on walls and never profiteroles?

You gave some away. Now THAT is will power. White chocolate creme patisserie? How could you have parted with them? Strength, that's how.

One of the ladies at our WW meeting said the other day her downfall is a sweet tooth too, and to stop herself, she makes a big bowl of sugar free jelly that she takes a bite from every time she fancies something sweet. Not sure it'd satisfy my craving for a chocolate caramel hobnob, but hey, it might work for you! Did you know that you can make sugar free jelly up with half water/half low fat yoghurt, and you end up with a mousse type thing? Is actually quite good; just stir in half a pint of hot water, let it cool a bit, then make up to 1 pint with low fat yoghurt and let it set in fridge. I like eating it with some pineapple or the other day with mandarin segments.
