Forgive the very bad photo, but it's dark and there's no natural light. This is the first cake from the new kitchen. It's heading off to London to a man (known as Taxi Ted) who is retiring. I wonder why he's called that. He's a ship broker.
I seem to have spent all weekend doing this cake, washing and ironing. No time for knitting. But that will all change tomorrow I hope. As a present, I have been sent a skein of something very lovely... but that's another story, you'll have to come back then. For now it's my bed time.

You finished the taxi cake! It looks lovely, even better in real life. In the car on the way home Brooke was asking why my cakes don't look as good as yours. humph. Its true though. kerrie xx
What a FUN Cake!!
Thought of you last night while watching "The Queen: 80 years of Royal Service" or some such title. (What can I say? I'd come on right after Jane Austin's "Persuasion" - not the best production I'd ever seen). Anyway, sorry to say that I didn't note your smiling face in any of the documentary shots.

Man oh man - you really give good cake! It reminds me of that Skoda advert where the car is all cake ....
..... mmmmm, a cake the size of a car - what a truly fabulous idea!
