Picperfic's Wedding Cake

So as Marianne and Barry are now Mr and Mrs Picperfic I am officially allowed to show you their cake.

I have loved doing this cake - one of my favourites so far. It caused a few problems (especially Barry's beard - no he doesn't have a dirty face!) but on whole I'm very pleased of this one.

The ever marvellous Kerrie and her ever gorgeous husband Wayne collected me last night and we went over to the wedding celebrations. Like a complete idiot I forgot my camera. But I seemed to be the only person there who did forget one! It was a very happy evening - I can't remember laughing so much in a very long time. Many thanks Kerrie and Wayne for not making me feel like a gooseberry!

And of course, many congratulations to Marianne and Barry, may your life together be filled with as much happiness as you had last night.

xx

HI - Must delurk and say I am very impressed with your cakes. I have never seen anything like it before. (In Denmark we dont do them like that) If they taste as good as they look - wow.
In defence of Mike and Mandy, I find it is a very stylish cake.

Oh, wow, you've made amazing likenesses of them and I think it has to be the loveliest wedding cake I've ever seen. (What a shame that I'm already married, otherwise I'd be comissioning one!)

You really are a very talented artist .... how can people bear to cut into your cakes? They must want to preserve them forever ...

.... oops ... there I go again with the whole 'not eating stuff' gig ....

:)

ps. In case I forget to pop back tomorrow .... hope you have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (and it's obvious where you get your brilliant cake making skills from ...)

Michaela - I am eating a slice of your cake as I type this. It is so tasty! So moist and fruity. Mum and Barry have put their 'likenesses' into their pretty cabinet to hopefully keep forever.

We went to Wimpole Hall on the saturday and saw the tower which inspired the cake :)

the cake was stunning and the lemony bit tasted delicious!! We are just back from honeymoon and are completely exhausted...maybe I could have some of the fruit cake bit for my breakfast?? As Faernuff said, the little characters are safely tucked up in our 'pretty cabinet'...You really are a clever girl Michaela, so glad I found you or was it you that found me? We'll look at some photos soon, and maybe I'll even do a blog post!
