WIP Week - Day 2

Today's UFO is my wonderful Trudie. I just love this and really must get round today to starting on sleeve number 2. Laid out flat like this, she looks very wide and quite short, but hopefully the fabulous drapiness (made up word?) might make her fit like I'm a tall slender super model. Yeah right, Michaela, dream on.

I managed to finish the sock from yesterday - hardly surprising as there was only 10 rows left - and cast on for the second one. Sadly though I fell asleep and didn't get any further than the rib. When I woke up there was a good film on - The Bone Collector - a bit scary (I don't usually do scary) but since it had the perfect Denzel Washington in, I felt obliged to stay up late just for him. It was a bit too scary in places though, so I spent most of the time holding the remote control changing channels, rather than holding the knitting needles! And tonight I'll be so tired from last night that I'll just end up falling asleep again.

Briefly on the subject of films, anyone have any good recommendations for me? My Amazon rental list is getting low and needs topping up. Am I the only person in the world who hated Atonement by the way?

A good film to NOT see is 27 Dresses - 2 hours and one Netflix disk I'll never get back. Sorry to say I can't think of anything wonderful I've seen lately. We're deeply involved with Thomas, Elmo, and Sam....

ps: Trudie looks fab!

Trudie looks amazing! Those colours are gorgeous!

Good films? Well my favourites are Music and Lyrics - simple and typical Hugh Grant fun, Lucky Break - the gorgeous James Nesbitt and again very funny, French Kiss - quite an oldie I know and yet again very funny, and Dan in Real Life - new and, yup, you've guessed it - funny! Depends if you like funny rom-coms I suppose!!!

Donnie Darko? Weird but enjoyable. Depending how offbeat you want to go try 'Dogma' but not if you have any strong Christian (esp.Catholic) affiliations.

For a lighter touch I loved 'Secondhand Lions' 'The Wild' and 'Enchanted'.

I shall think more.

I bet you shut your eyes during the bit near the end with the fingers! Makes me cringe every time.

'Married to the Mob' with Matthew Modine,'Serendipity' with Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack, and 'Nanny MacPhee' as it has an Evangeline in it!

I think we must be on the same wavelength Michaela...Atonement did nothing for me, all the best bits were in the trailer! I can't think of any films right now but if I do I'll let you know. Love the cake for your Mum's Church raffle. Beautiful Trudie too, I love the pattern!
