So startitis is back with a vengeance. It doesn't just appear to take place in the kitchen either. The dreaded disease over comes me in every single room in the house. Yesterday I started the ironing, I started to clean the bathroom, I started to tidy a couple of cupboards, I started to think about hoovering (only think of it mind you!). I passed the sewing machione and remembered a project I had started to plan weeks ago...
Here are a couple of little bags I made for my mum to give as a present to some little girls (she's planning on filling them with goodies apparently). Well at least I finished them!
Startitis in the kitchen - rhubarb and strawberry jam. I made some scones to go with the jam, but they are long since eaten. Something else also finished.
And of course I cast on for Trudie. It's been ages since I knitted something on such big needles (5.5mm) and can hardly believe how quickly it's growing. Quickly for me you understand, not being one of the world's fastest knitters (infact I'm one of the slowest) this is whizzing along.
Oh and everything has been photographed on top of the latest felted jumper blanket - hopefully finishing that tonight.
So I'm not doing too badly, that's a few things finished isn't it?

Those bags are very cute and rhubarb and strawberry jam sounds delicious!
I love the cream felted jumper with the ribbon through it, looking forward to seeing the whole blanket.
I just made rhubarb and ginger chutney...wanna trade? Is that Hipknits aran silk? Is 5.5 the right number needle for it, only I'm knitting mine up on 4.5 and have been worrying about the yarn going far enough....the instructions did say 4.5....I will cry if I run out again, I ran out of the Della yarn too...boohoohoo Fran
Love the bags. And the lovely blues and greens. The sort of colours I'm looking for, for my dress for THE wedding! I've got the paua shell jewellery already.
I think you are doing fine, you seem to be finishing plenty. I live my life in Startitis Land anyway, flitting here there and everywhere, the internet keeps showing me too many lovely things that I hanker after too. Now go over to my blog and leave me a message, you might just win a prize!
Oh Startitis - I suffer from this disease as well - but you seem to complete things as well (something that I am not yet doing) You must be further along in your recovery than me! LOL
Yumm - my mouth is watering over your jam. And love the colours coming together in your knitting! I have started a jumper for me on 10mm needles - and all I can say is wow that is quick!
ooh I made rhubarb and strawberry crumble at the weekend, it was lovely. jam though, now that is a brilliant idea. You know me and rhubarb!
Oooh Startitis? I know it so very well!
