Felt, and more felt...

I'm always on the lookout for jumpers to felt. Every time I go into town, I head for the charity shops and have a browse. Today I was in luck. Look at these extremely pretty ones I found. Oh how I wish I was a size small. Sadly I'm not, so this pair are heading for the washer to become felted. I had great plans for them, I was busy planning all sorts of pretty badges, flowers, bags, blankets, wondering what project to start on first.

And then I thought, I wonder if I have any other pieces from previous trips to go with them.

So I looked in my wardrobe. Yes, there was a bag full.

And I went into youngest son's wardrobe. Yes, plenty in there.

And the blanket box at the end of my bed. Loads in there too.

And the ottoman in the living room full of cake boxes and boards. Hmm. Full of felted jumpers as well.

Do you think I have enough now, or should I keep on hunting?

(Oh and I've just remembered another hiding place that has a big bag jam packed full of more felt. Stop me someone please....)

ROFLMAO!! Blimey, that's a lot of jumpers :)

Just think of all the fabulous felty projects you can make with them. I'm holding you responsible for my recent inability to pass a charity shop without going in to check out the woollens section. I've only manage to find one though! I suspect the people in my town are more the acrylic wearing kind rather than pure wool wearer (except me, of course, being that I'm all posh an' all ;P).

I know you are probably sick of the sight of blankets by now, but I am just imagining the possibility with all of those lovely felted jumpers making a massive afghan!

MICHAELA! THIS IS YOUR CONSCIENCE SPEAKING!!! Put down whatever you are doing RIGHTNOW and go and DO something with that felt mountain.

You might consider making a rather lovely something for any antipodean hilltop dwellers in the S.W. of Engerland. I am just saying is all.

Now get to work.

Love, YOUR CONSCIENCE.

Hmm, I'm sure I remember Kathryn telling me (some time ago, admittedly) that you'd complained that she was buying up all the woollens in the local charity shops, leaving you without.

Pot. Kettle. Black!

Now, I'd like you to correct any factual errors in the following observation:

You are spending money on wool and adding it to a stash.

Either I've missed the passing of the Ally Pally show (which, with Kathryn here, is very unlikely), or you're bending the rules.

;o)

Tisk, tisk, tisk. That Warren. He's a clever one.

How will our Michaela get out of this wooly/felted mess while keeping tight hold on Warren's money?
