Finished

So here is the second felted jumper blanket. The dark mark down the centre of it is just the shadow from the cherry tree at the side; and don't be put off by the slightly odd shape, that's the fault of the gently blowing breeze, it's quite rectangular really.

So there we have something else done, and guess what, Startitis is still not cured because whilst perusing baby knitting patterns for another friend, I came across this. And I just have got to make one. I love mad and wacky baby clothes! Not doing it in the yarn shown, don't have any of that, but something else from the Stash Basket. Off to find some right now....

That is beautiful. I've having a big clear out and I've still got some jumpers I knitted over twenty years ago which I'll never wear again ..... but I don't want to part with them. You've just inspired me: now I know what to do!!! (Your posts of the last couple of days have also justified my startitis!!)

Hmmmm - red, white and blue...you made it for ME, your American friend, right?! You are too good to me; really, you are.

This blanket is an absolute triumph. I think you owe the world to carry on thrifting and felting and recombining into these blankets, because they embody genius!

That is some blanket there. Well done. Seems to me you have finished quite a bit. I've started a knited cat. Still not sewn up the rabbits!!

Note to self - Must preview before press publish. Meant to say knitted.

Oh it is beautiful. I think I might have to go charity shopping at the weekend! Do you sew them by hand or machine?

To the Blanket Mistress:

Great accomplishment! I understand you assembled felted squares, rectangles, etc made from old wool jumpers bought at charity sales. For a sufferer of startitis, you have quite a few achievements, Michaela. How do you assemble the pieces? The result is lovely.
