For Non

No Saturday Pudding today, although I have made one, feeling very sad and even chocolate is not going to lift me this time.

My father-in-law, Non, as we all called him, passed away today. He has been fighting a long battle against so many things, cancer, emphysaema, heart trouble to name just 3, and today he finally stopped fighting. We shall all miss him - of all my in-laws, he was my favourite. He liked me too and used to love watching me knit, socks on 4 needles had him particularly agog. He had a wonderful time in May for David's 50th birthday, all the family were together and happy. May we all remember him just like that.

My sympathies.

It will be good to remember the birthday! I'm sure he was glad to be around for that after fighting all his issues.

Take care.

Oh what sad news Michaela. I'm so sorry for you all. But what lovely memories you have of him - and how super to be able to remember him enjoying your husband's birthday.

Sending you lots of love, Lucy xxx

Oh, I know how you feel, my Father-in-law, a great character, widely liked and deeply respected, moved on on April 3rd.... Great things have been said about him...over a hundred at the funeral, lots of good things remebered and said about old times before he was ill.... Much missed.... Talk about the good times, remember daily, out loud with your family and friends and with his friends too...don't let go! Fran xxx
