Drum Roll Please...

The children were behaving for once so I let them choose who was going to win the blanket.

The tickets were all written on and put in a Sainsbury's margarine tub (empty).

We shook the tub.

We scattered the tickets on the table.

We put the tickets back in the tub.

We shook the tub again to make sure they were well and truly shuffled.

And the Winner of the blanket is

Kathryn

Sorry everyone else, but the raffle was really and truly fairly drawn by eldest son, so if you have any complaints, send them to him please.

Whilst I pass all of your complaints onto him, Kathryn, would you be so kind as to send me your address please.

Congratulations, Kathryn, not jealous really :-) and kudos to Michaela for donating such a fab prize for such a worthy cause. I watched the Kilamanjaro programme this afternoon (missed it the other night) and have so much admiration for everyone who took part. Anyone who can watch these film clips without donating some pennies, no matter how little, must be made of stone!

Congratulations to Kathryn!

(is it too late for me to change my name?)

It was amazing to read how much money was collected this year, especially compared to the fund drive 2 yrs ago. And *especially* when people are feeling uneasy about the great, faceless "Economy." Nice to know hearts remain open regardless :)

Thanks for doing this, Michaela. Always good to have a gentle nudge...or the vision of a lovely blankie!

How wonderful! It's first time time I've won anything since 1981. It was at the school fair and I guessed the number of sweets in the jar (135). What a beautiful thing to win (the blanket, not the sweets)! And in the name of such a fantastic charity.

Thank you, Michaela, for giving us even more reason to donate.
