Back to all things wooly today. Here is The Stash Basket. I keep all my favourite stash in here. Well, I keep all the stuff that I'll let my husband see. The rest is secreted throughout the house in various cupboards, drawers, ottomans (hmm, should that be 'ottomen'?) where he won't ever find it. Why doesn't he understand? A girl can NEVER have enough yarn. So what if I won't be able to use it all this side of my 100th birthday. It looks nice, feels beautiful and really, if the worst I can do is buy too much yarn, then I think he's pretty lucky don't you?
Actually, The Stash Basket has recently been given a new name. The more observant among you may have seen a little bunny sitting happily on top. He is called Alfie and is one of those fantastic Little Cotton Rabbits from Julie ( littlecottonrabbits.typepad.co.uk ) He's a very opinionated Bunny, but oh so polite and friendly. He gets on very well with his new friends Chameleon and Teddy (who he says need new names) He recently came on holiday with us and behaved impeccably. Alfie's a bit of a dare devil and tried lots of new things for a rabbit, including fishing, tree climbing and building sand castles. Only problem came when he saw the buzzards flying though and hid in my pocket. I never knew rabbits could move so fast.

Thanks Michaela for the lovely mention. Alfie is a very lucky bunny to have such a great home and he's becoming quite talked about - he has a mention over on my site today too!
Hi Michaela, Julie sent me over. Welcome to the world of blogging, where everyone knows you just can't have a stash that is too big!
Hello, hello, hello !
So pleased to see you blogging.
I'm much better at leaving comments than e-mailing !
That's only a little baby stash basket ! As long as it's full of stuff you love. The custard cream cake is fab ! brilliant idea.

Hello Michaela, Julie sent your blog my way. Welcome to the ever growing world of blogging - just a thought - knitters are the largest number of bloggers out there, just think of all the people you are going to meet in the next few months. (I own six of Julie's wonderful creations, they are addictive once you have one you want more).
As I say to my husband - I have all this (wool, silks, fabric, cottons, buttons (the list could go on)) for when the (wool, silk, needles etc) factories close down.. I'll be well prepared.. of course if I live to 100 I'll never use it all and those sneaky producers keep bringing out more...
Great blog....
