Saturday pudding and a few hats

Thank you all so much for your sympathy with my very bad lunch time on Thursday. I am so glad I provided you with much hilarity. Yes it was unkind to laugh. I suffered a huge loss of blood (half a teaspoon) and poor son had to cope with dried bread for tea. At least I know who my friends are now!!!

Anyway, today being Saturday, it's pudding time. Chocolate and raspberry trifle. It was a case of open the fridge, what have I got and bung it all together. Well it looks OK, but the proof of the pudding is, as they say, in the eating, so we shall just have to wait and see!

Presenting the Stash Basket hat complete with little balls of Posh Yarn (cashmere no less!) and a mad penguin button one.

And 2 quite plain and simple ones finished whilst on the bus this morning. Why was I on the bus? Find out another day if you're interested (it's not terribly exciting so I might even forget to tell you).

What's everyone having for tea today? I can't decide what to have. But at least we've got pudding so the important things are sorted!

I'm loving your hats :)

The trifle looks fab - hope it was as good as it looks.

And I cheated - Fish & Chips from the chippy tonight :)

I don't know what we're having for tea yet and we haven't even got pudding. Although there is some rather good chocolate fudge that I got from "the box"!
Hats are great as always.

It is Carnival here today so we have had tea (beef casserole of the 'Stand in the larder and throw things at the casserole dish' variety), dishes are washed and Saturday pudding will most likely be of the pink, sticky, fluffy, flossy variety ;-)

I love that you can find trifle ingredients in your fridge!! Moogsdad has gone out to buy curry after we've both slaved away all day - I have a very tidy and sweetly scented house and a newly varnished front door to show for our efforts :)
Pudding won't be anything nearly as gorgeous as yours...probably a second glass of wine!

Oh please don't send that Stash Basket hat to Innocent - give it to me instead!!!!! I love it! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh at your calamities, honest!

Trifle looks very scrummy - Dorothy has made Chocolate Puddle Pudding for our pud today and we are having Toad in the Hole and mashy tatoes from the "lotamunt" as Fred calls it.

Daisy is sulking coz she's watching me type this and is cross that I haven't mentioned her in the comment so apparently I have to tell you about the lovely felt shoes she made for her rag doll when she was off poorly this week - they are very good (and I haven't been made to say that bit!)

Oh Michaela! That stash basket!! I simply can't believe that Stash Basket!! I've clicked on it to make it *slightly* larger and I still can't believe it!! Please don't send it to Innocent. Send it to me! I'll pay you for it!! (I don't actually know yet what I'd put it on, but that's completely irrelevant)

And for tea? Who knows, whatever Si throws together (he cooks at weekends - hurrah!) but did I mention that hat is brilliant??

:)

Oh dang it! I see that while I was typing my comment Mrs L has already bagged the Stash Basket for herself .... a bidding war then!

That tiny stash basket is lovely and belongs in your blog banner at the very least!

Taties and sausages in the crockpot...although I'm making a note: should only use the crockpot when I won't be home during the several hours of good-cooking-smells permeating the house!

That trifle is my absolute favourite and I love the stash basket hat.. instructions please!! I'm afraid mine will probably be just ordinary. It's Sunday now and we are having beef in beer casserole which has been in the slow cooker since 9.30am. We have just come back from a great walk along the prom at Seaton. It was glorious. I'm ashamed to say pud will just be raspberries and yogs.

Love the hats!

I had Middle Eastern food for dinner as I was at a "wedding reception".

Tonight's dinner is another story altogether (I'm sick so TBG will be cooking). We may just be having the same meal DS1 enjoyed Thursday!

You are outrageously talented. I am just going to sulk in a corner while I come to terms with the fact that knitting ability was not shared out equally in our generation.
